VT Markets review

VT Markets is a fast-growing broker founded in 2016 with an increasingly visible presence across Asia-Pacific markets. Its Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer licence (SD198) is currently its primary regulatory credential -- it does not yet hold an FCA, ASIC, or other Tier-1 licence. Significant regulatory warnings: the UK FCA (2023), Denmark's DFSA (2024, explicitly stating no investor protection for Danish clients), France's AMF (2023-2025, several VT-linked domains listed as unlicensed), and Italy's Consob (May 2025) have all publicly warned against VT Markets entities or domains. A separate, independent compliance-focused outlet gives the linked Vantage Group a "Red Compliance" rating and reports EEA retail onboarding via offshore entities with leverage up to 1:500.

Strengths

    Weaknesses

    • Thinner regulatory footprint than most peers on this list
    • No EU, UK, or Australian-tier regulator -- its primary licence is offshore (Seychelles FSA), which offers materially less retail investor protection than an EU/MiFID licence.
    • Minimum deposit and/or EUR/USD spread could not be independently confirmed -- check current terms directly with the broker.
    • Shorter operating history than most peers, trading since 2016

Who VT Markets is -- and isn't -- a good fit for

Likely a good fit if you're...

    • Traders outside the EU/UK who have already done their own due diligence on the offshore entity and are comfortable with that risk profile.

    Look elsewhere if you're...

    • Traders who need EU- or UK-level regulatory protection and investor compensation -- this broker's only confirmed licence is the Seychelles FSA, which carries materially lighter oversight and no compensation scheme (see Investor protection below).

Derived from the same confirmed data behind this broker's score (regulation, cost, platforms, deposit minimum) -- not a separate editorial judgment.

    Investor protection

Via its Seychelles FSA-licensed entity, there is no statutory investor compensation scheme -- if that entity fails, there is no guaranteed fund to recover client money from.

Accounts, costs & support in more depth

Beyond the headline spread and minimum deposit above. Where our research hasn't independently confirmed a specific detail, we say so rather than guess -- verify directly with the broker before relying on it.

Account typesStandard STP (no commission, spreads from ~1.2 pips, min deposit reported as $50-$100 depending on source) and Raw ECN (spreads from 0.0 pips plus $6/lot round-turn commission, min deposit ~$100-$200 depending on source). Some sources also list a Cent account and a "PRO ECN" tier similar to Raw ECN, not confirmed consistently across sources. Swap-free (Islamic) versions exist of the Standard/Raw accounts. Leverage reported as up to 1:500 or 1:1000 depending on source/region.
Execution modelDescribes itself as no-dealing-desk STP/ECN, routing to multiple liquidity providers. Most third-party listings agree, though one older (2022) review marked it "Market Maker: No." No source confirms whether any flow is internalized -- this rests mainly on the broker's own marketing.
Withdrawals & depositsBank transfer, cards, Skrill, Neteller, Fasapay, UnionPay, Perfect Money, and Alipay are supported. One source reports no deposit fees and no fee on most withdrawals (first wire withdrawal/month free, then a flat $20 for subsequent wires); e-wallet fees are cited as roughly 0.5-2% depending on provider. Minimum deposit/withdrawal figures conflict across sources ($50/$40 vs $100/$40). A significant pattern of unverified ForexPeaceArmy complaints describes withdrawals stalling for weeks or months, repeated document requests, accounts restricted after a withdrawal request, and unexplained balance drops -- these are forum posts, not confirmed findings, but the volume is notable.
Overnight financing (swap)Charged on positions held past roughly 5pm EST, calculated on full position size (not margin) using an interest-rate differential, with rates shown per-instrument in the MT4/MT5 specifications. A swap-free option is described as available "for eligible clients upon request."
Currency conversion costNot found -- no VT-specific rate located.
Inactivity feeOne source states VT Markets does not charge an inactivity fee; no conflicting figure was found.
Customer serviceNo independent, dated commentary was found beyond the broker's own marketing language and the ForexPeaceArmy complaints above describing templated or unresolved support responses.
Mobile experienceNo current App Store/Google Play rating was found. The broker claims TradingView charts, watchlists, price alerts, and one-tap trading, plus a self-reported 2022 "Best Mobile App Europe" award; no independent hands-on review was found.
Educational offeringThe broker's own press material describes a "learning section" and demo account; no independent quality assessment was found.
