Vantos Markets review

Founded as Capital Index by Robert Woolfe in 2014; renamed Vantos Markets in 2026 after new ownership took over. The new owners have indicated unspecified future platform enhancements, but only MT4 is confirmed live as of this research.

2.54 / 5 overall FCA No. 709693 · est. 2014
Data last reviewed: 8 October 2026 Regulation last reviewed: 8 October 2026 Pricing last checked: March 2026 Next scheduled review: January 2027
Worth knowing: Renamed from Capital Index to Vantos Markets in February 2026 following a change in ownership to Vinalytics Limited (BVI-incorporated), with existing directors (including MD Robert Woolfe) and its FCA authorisation (FRN 709693) retained. Confirmed FY2025 financials (year ended 31 Dec 2025): turnover fell to GBP591,472 from GBP856,657 (about a 31% decline), gross profit fell from GBP715,943 to GBP497,417, and a 2024 operating profit of GBP35,617 turned into a 2025 operating loss of GBP141,282, with the net loss widening to GBP153,957 from GBP18,248 the year before -- a small, recently rebranded shop with a thinner regulatory and financial profile than most peers on this list. Its related Cyprus entity (Capital Index Europe) surrendered its CySEC licence in 2018 and is not currently authorised there.

Who Vantos Markets is -- and isn't -- a good fit for

Likely a good fit if you're...

    • EU- and/or UK-based traders who want the regulatory protections and investor compensation scheme that come with a CySEC and/or FCA licence (see Investor protection below).

    Look elsewhere if you're...

    • No specific "not for" signal in our researched criteria -- still confirm current terms directly with the broker.

Derived from the same confirmed data behind this broker's score (regulation, cost, platforms, deposit minimum) -- not a separate editorial judgment.

    Investor protection

Via its FCA-regulated UK entity, eligible clients are covered by the UK's Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £85,000 per person if the firm fails.

Accounts, costs & support in more depth

Beyond the headline spread and minimum deposit above. Where our research hasn't independently confirmed a specific detail, we say so rather than guess -- verify directly with the broker before relying on it.

Account typesSources conflict: one review lists STP/Standard/VIP tiers, another lists Pro/Advanced/invitation-only "Black" tiers. UK spread betting is confirmed as a product offered only through this specific UK entity.
Execution modelNot independently confirmed beyond an "STP" label cited in one source.
Withdrawals & depositsNot found for current terms; one 2022 Trustpilot complaint (predating the rebrand) describes a 10+ day withdrawal delay and an allegation of around €24,420 in profits being removed, citing trade-voiding reasons -- a single, unverified account.
    Overnight financing (swap)Not found.
    Currency conversion costNot found.
    Inactivity feeNot found.
Customer serviceTrustpilot under the former Capital Index name shows a poor 1.5-1.7/5 from around 31 reviews on one regional page, with the company not having recently invited reviews or replied to negative ones; a separate page shows around 2.0/5 as of mid-2026. No separate Vantos-named Trustpilot page was found yet, so this reputation data predates the rebrand and should be read with that context.
Mobile experienceNo store rating was found; the app is described (pre-rebrand) as supporting one-click trading, chat and notifications.
Educational offeringOne review calls the education centre and research lacklustre and not competitive with alternatives; no contrary independent assessment specific to this broker was found.
