Ultima Markets review

A large multi-entity global CFD group (1,000+ instruments, presence claimed in 170+ countries, an FC Internazionale Milano sponsorship deal) marking its 10th anniversary in 2026; its UK FCA entity, however, is brand new and not yet fully live for UK retail as of this research.

3.56 / 5 overall CySEC No. 426/23 + FCA No. 470325 · est. 2016
Data last reviewed: 8 October 2026 Regulation last reviewed: 8 October 2026 Pricing last checked: March 2026 Next scheduled review: January 2027
Worth knowing: CySEC licence 426/23 is held by a separate group entity, Ultima Markets Cyprus Ltd, serving EU clients -- a different legal entity from the UK FCA firm reviewed here. Worth knowing: Ultima Markets UK Limited is not a freshly authorised company -- it's an existing FCA shell entity (authorised since 2007) that has changed names and ownership several times, most recently as Tiger Brokers (UK) Ltd before Ultima Markets acquired it in 2025 and renamed it. The FCA register shows one enforcement event on this firm's file, a 2015 supervisory notice over systems and controls, issued under one of the earlier names (predecessor management, about a decade before Ultima's ownership) -- this predates and is unrelated to Ultima Markets' own conduct. The UK entity was still in the process of onboarding UK retail clients as of this research (2026) -- confirm current live UK status before relying on it. Non-EU/global clients are onboarded via separate Mauritius FSC and St Vincent & Grenadines SVGFSA entities, neither of which is on this site's Tier-1 list.

Who Ultima Markets is -- and isn't -- a good fit for

Likely a good fit if you're...

  • Traders who want platform choice -- 3 platforms are confirmed, including MT4, MT5.
  • EU- and/or UK-based traders who want the regulatory protections and investor compensation scheme that come with a CySEC and/or FCA licence (see Investor protection below).

Look elsewhere if you're...

  • No specific "not for" signal in our researched criteria -- still confirm current terms directly with the broker.

Derived from the same confirmed data behind this broker's score (regulation, cost, platforms, deposit minimum) -- not a separate editorial judgment.

Investor protection

Via its FCA-regulated UK entity, eligible clients are covered by the UK's Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £85,000 per person if the firm fails. Via its CySEC-regulated Cyprus entity, eligible clients are covered by Cyprus's Investor Compensation Fund (ICF) up to €20,000 per person if the firm fails.

Accounts, costs & support in more depth

Beyond the headline spread and minimum deposit above. Where our research hasn't independently confirmed a specific detail, we say so rather than guess -- verify directly with the broker before relying on it.

Account typesVia the Cyprus entity (which most available fee/account data actually describes, rather than the newer UK entity): Standard (spread-only, beginner-oriented), ECN (tighter spreads from 0 pips, $5 commission), and Pro ECN ($3 commission, but a steep $20,000 minimum deposit). Islamic/swap-free structures are available.
Execution modelECN overall, with the Standard account closer to spread-only/STP-style pricing and the ECN/Pro ECN tiers commission-based raw-spread accounts -- execution style genuinely varies by account type.
Withdrawals & depositsOne source states no deposit or withdrawal fees; methods include bank card, wire, and cryptocurrencies, with processing from 15 minutes to 3 business days and a $40 minimum withdrawal. However, independent complaint threads describe withdrawals held on "processing" well past normal timeframes in specific disputed cases, and at least one trader alleges the broker accused their account of abusive arbitrage trading and confiscated both profits and the original deposit, reportedly leading to a criminal complaint filed with German authorities -- this is a serious, specific allegation that hasn't been independently verified or confirmed by a regulator, so it should be read as a disputed claim, not an established fact.
Overnight financing (swap)Standard industry swap fees apply to overnight positions; an Islamic swap-free option is available. No rate formula was disclosed.
Currency conversion costNot found -- no specific fee or percentage was located.
Inactivity feeOne source states no inactivity fee is charged; single-source.
Customer serviceTrustpilot sentiment is mixed-to-positive overall (fast execution and withdrawals, and praise for customer care cited by some reviewers), which sits in tension with the serious, unverified fund-confiscation allegation noted above -- both should be weighed together rather than one overriding the other.
Mobile experienceNot found -- no App Store or Google Play rating was located.
Educational offeringNot found in this research pass.
