2-candle pattern · Reversal

Meeting lines are two candles of opposite color whose closes land at almost the same price, even though they open at different levels and move in different directions throughout their sessions. The matching closes show the two sides fought to a standstill at a specific price.

A bullish meeting line forms after a downtrend (bearish candle, then a bullish candle closing at the same level); a bearish meeting line forms after an uptrend. Either way, the pattern is read similarly to a tweezer — a level being defended — but with the added detail that it’s the close, not the high or low, that’s matching.
