3-candle pattern · Bearish reversal (stronger)

An evening doji star is an evening star whose middle candle is a doji rather than a generic small body, making it the bearish counterpart to a morning doji star. The doji at the pivot point adds extra weight to the reversal signal compared to a standard evening star.

As with the morning doji star, the added indecision of a true doji at the exact turning point is what separates this from a standard evening star — but the strength of the reversal still depends on how convincingly the third (bearish) candle closes back into the first candle’s body.
